How this engine fails
Timing chain stretch is the most common Ingenium complaint and it starts with a rattle that is easy to dismiss. Bearing wear can follow, especially where oil changes have been stretched. A failed chain or spun bearing usually means a full strip down. Because these vehicles hold strong used values, a documented professional rebuild is almost always a better financial decision than scrapping the car or gambling on a used engine.

How we put it right
We rebuild Ingenium petrol and diesel engines with uprated OEM specification timing components, new bearings and full machining of the head and block. The strip down is recorded on video and the rebuild is documented with photographs from start to finish.
